Ministries at bonsack

There are many ways to get involved in the life of Bonsack United Methodist Church. We are a vibrant church family and are excited about the ways in which God is working in and through our lives.

children's ministry

The purpose of our children's ministry is to impact the children of our community with the message of Christ's unconditional love, encouraging them to grow in a personal relationship with Christ, role modeling, and self-esteem building in a variety of experiences. For more information, contact children@bonsackumc.org

student ministry

Our student ministry exists to build relationships and encourage students to become passionate followers of Christ. As we get to know Jesus, we get to know each other too - in small groups, Bible studies, mission trips, and serving our community. For more information, contact youth@bonsackumc.org

music ministry

Worship is a big part of what we do at Bonsack UMC. We offer a variety of ways for people to use their musical gifts to praise our Creator. During the pandemic, music in worship has changed, but it is an important part of our spirituality, so as our music ministry grows again, whether it be instrumental, handbells, children's choir, band, or adult choir, there is a place for you to join with us. For more information, contact music@bonsackumc.org

adult ministry

Methodists vow to be loyal to Christ through the Church and to faithfully participate in its ministries by their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. There are many opportunities for adults to practice their vows here through activities such as communion, ushers, greeters, readers, music, Family Promise, teachers, advocates, and more. For more information, contact pastor@bonsackumc.org

reconciling ministry

Open Hearts is a community that meets primarily on Sunday mornings at 9:15am at the church, but can be found at cookouts and other gatherings throughout the Valley as well. Our aim is to be a safe, loving, affirming space where anyone can come and be welcomed to discover that they are loved by God and by us exactly as they are. For more information, contact mbglass63@gmail.com

outreach and missions

We share God's love by serving those in need outside of our church. We try to act as the hands and feet of Christ by caring for those in need. We do this by filling backpacks for hungry children, providing uniforms for local choirs, opening our doors to Family Promise, mentoring at Kids Soar and the Boys and Girls Club and much more. Come join us as we change the world. For more information, contact sbalt1@cox.net

Stephen ministry
